Brian didn’t want to handle the tech side of podcasting: buying equipment, setting it up, recording, editing, and troubleshooting. Like most entrepreneurs, he wanted to focus on the content—not the production chaos. What he needed was a done-for-you process that let him stay in his zone of genius while still getting professional results.

Refuge For Women Survivor Support - A Nonprofit Helping Exploited Women

Refuge for Women North Texas is a faith-based nonprofit providing long-term care for women who have escaped human trafficking and sexual exploitation. When they prepared to open their new Emergency House—a safe, confidential space for women in crisis—they needed a way to share its story and impact with donors, partners, and the community at large.

Challenge

Because the Emergency House is located in an undisclosed area for safety reasons, the organization faced a unique challenge: how to visually share the home’s purpose and emotional impact without revealing its location or compromising security. They needed a video that honored the sensitivity of their mission while still inspiring supporters to give and stay engaged.

Goal

We aimed to create a compelling, story-driven video that raised awareness for the new Emergency House and captured the heart of Refuge for Women’s mission. The video needed to communicate the urgency of their work, showcase the transformation happening through their programs, and move viewers toward partnership and generosity.

Result

Through careful planning, on-site direction, and sensitive storytelling, Heart Media produced a video that powerfully communicated the mission behind the Emergency House. The film highlighted the lives being changed through Refuge for Women’s programs and became a central tool in their fundraising and awareness efforts.

Since its release, the video has been shared widely among supporters, churches, and community partners—helping Refuge for Women raise vital funds and expand awareness of their work across North Texas. As Executive Director Christine Mann shared, “The whole process from beginning to end was just seamless… Everyone who’s seen the finished product has absolutely loved the video. The story pulled on everyone’s heartstrings, and the professional work behind it was just remarkable.”
